Katherine T. Midkiff, 83, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at 7 p.m. at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born on May 24, 1923, in Kennett to the late Thomas Pinkney and Donnie Dot Haynes Davis. She was a housewife and homemaker and a member of the Bell City General Baptist Church. She married George Thomas Midkiff on June 1, 1937, in Kennett, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1986.

She is survived by one son, Robert Midkiff of Dexter; six daughters, Kay Hughes of Advance, Margie Morgan of Dexter, Donna Ray of Sikeston, Melinda Midkiff of Sikeston, Teresa Grisham of Bell City, and Mary Buckley of Sikeston; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Midkiff; one daughter, Bonnie Maddox; four sisters; and two half-brothers.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2007, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance with Rev. Dean Williams, pastor of the New Bethel Church in Dexter, officiating.
