Gladys Christine Lacewell, daughter of the late Frank Higgs and Rilla Long Higgs, was born July 17, 1916, at Senath and died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Gideon Care Center.

She was a member of Mt. Zion General Baptist "Jericho" Church.

Survivors include one son, Clyde Dale "BeeGee" Lacewell of Malden; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Javery, Orville and Donald Higgs.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Chuck Pipkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
