Vickie Sue Rice and Richard Lynn Heuring announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The bride-elect is the daughter of Dorothy Phillips and the late Paul Rice of Fisk.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Heuring of Scott City.

Rice is a 1988 graduate of Three Rivers Community College with an associates degree in medical laboratory technology. She is a laboratory technologist working at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington.

Heuring is a 1977 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with an associates degree in computer science. He is a business entrepreneur and substitute school teacher.

The wedding will take place at 1:30 p.m. on July 7, 2007, at St. Augustine Church in Kelso.
