Kenneth Lee Thompson, 71 of Piggott, Ark. and formerly of Malden, Mo. was born March 11, 1936 in Lepanto, Ark. and died May 24, 2007 at his residence in Piggott.
He was married to the former Mary Evelyn Sandusky who preceded him in death on May 21, 1999. His parents, John A. Thompson and Bertha Howard Thompson also preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by on son, Thomas Thompson; and four brothers, John Henry, David, George Alford and Jessie Alford Thompson.
He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by three sons: Kenneth Lee Thompson of Idalia, Willis Adam Thompson of Dexter and Bobby Dale Thompson of Freeman Spur, Ill.; one daughter: Mary Jane Smith of Poplar Bluff; five brothers: Leonard Thompson of Albany, Ore., Gerald Thompson of Holcomb, Lloyd Thompson of Jefferson City, and Marvin Thompson and Ronnie Thompson of Malden; four sisters: Veda Ethington of Caseyville, Ill., Freda Henson of Parsons, Tenn., Virginia Lipsey of Qulin and Maxine Headd of Marion, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place Monday, May 28 beginning at 6 p.m. at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services took place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29 in the Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Paul White officiating. Interment took place in the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with Bradshaw Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
