Jim and Teresa Gibson of Dexter announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn Gibson, to Ryan Thomas McFarlen. Ryan is the son of Larry and Sheila McFarlen of Dexter.

Jessica is a 2001 graduate of Dexter high School. In 2005 she received a bachelor degree and expects to receive a masters degree in December 2008. She is employed with the Dexter School District as a kindergarten teacher.

Ryan is a 2000 graduate of Dexter High School and a 2003 graduate from Three Rivers Community College. He is employed by the Stoddard County Soil and Water Conservation District in Bloomfield.

Ryan and Jessica plan to be married on July 7 at First General Baptist Church in Dexter. All friends and family are invited to attend. After a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Dexter.
