Lenda Joyce Jordan

Lenda Joyce Jordan, 60, of Morehouse, died at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born June 1, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Herbert Lee and Irma Ilene Glaspell Jeris. She was a homemaker and had also worked for 20 years at Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Company in Morehouse.

On Jan. 9, 1965, she was married to Dawsey Lee Jordan who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1972. On May 25, 1990, she married David E. Jordan, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Jordan of Morehouse and Jimmy A. "Bodie" Jordan of Sikeston; three daughters, Anna Ward of Sikeston, Rejena Presley of Sikston and Tera Barks of Dexter; two step-sons, Butch Jordan and Keith Jordan, both of Morehouse; one step-daughter, Beth Johnson of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Lois Nelson of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; and two great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Essex Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Sutton, pastor of New Life Ministries in New Madrid, officiating.
