Mrs. Black was a member of the Ladue Chapel Church in Ladue, co-founder and past president of Dexter National Bank, a member of the P.E.O., St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary, Campbell House in St. Louis, and a resident of St. Louis, formerly of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Creal Black in September 1934 in Illinois. Mr. Black preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1968.
Survivors include two nephews, Michael Jeffress of Madison, Ala., and Hugh Gologoly of Overland Park, Kan.; three nieces, Sara Dickirson Dotson of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Beuhler and Debbie Brand, both of Overland Park, Kan.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Dickirson and by three sisters, Mary Jeffress, Mildred Gologoly, and Eva Mercier.
Visitation was held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. at the Sikeston City Cemetery in Sikeston with Dr. Ben Ellis officiating.
