Peggy Brown

Peggy Brown, daughter of the late Raymond Samples and Melissa James Samples, was born on April 6, 1939, at Holcomb and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on June 24, 2007, at the age of 68.

Mrs. Brown was a home-maker, a resident of Sikeston and a former resident of Dunklin County.

She was united in marriage to Denver Brown on April 2, 1955, at Hernando, Miss. Mr. Brown survives of the home in Sikeston.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Regina Brown of Dexter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Earlene and Tom Barnett and Sherry and Tim Newell, all of Sikeston: 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Randy Brown; three brothers, Walter Samples, L.J. Samples and Charles Samples.

Visitation was held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2007.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Blake Tiemann officiating.
