Grover "Buddy" Parker

Grover "Buddy" Parker, son of the late Robert E. Lee Parker and Ruby Augustine Rollins Parker, was born Jan. 3, 1938, at Truman, Ark., and died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

On June 15, 1959, he was married to Edna Ruthie May Maclin at Tulot, Ark., and she survives of the home.

He had been a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a former police chief from Risco.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Parker of Risco; four sons, Robert Parker of Marion, Ark., David Parker of Norfork, Ark., Donald Parker of Campbell, and Randall Parker of Pontiac, Mich.; three daughters, Mary Landers of Risco, Libby Wilson of Catron, and Ruth Matlock of Bell City; one brother, Alfred Parker of Sawyer, Mich.; two sisters, Dorothy Vonruedisch of Fisk and Florence Monehan of Dexter; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three grandchildren; three brothers, G.R. Parker, Jimmy Parker, and Jesse Parker; and one sister, Mary Louise Lung.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.
