James Ferrell Swindell

James Ferrell Swindell was born of Willena Swindell on Dec. 31, 1938, in Bell City. He died on July 16, 2007, at his home in Raymondville. He was raised by Joseph Franklin and Tina Jane Swindell.

On Sept. 3, 1960, he was united in marriage to Janice Bumpus. To that union four children were born: Jennifer Anderson, Julia Lee McNulty, Jeanne Morgan and James Robert Swindell.

He had been employed by Fraiser Brothers Boiler Co., eventually purchasing and operating the business until selling it in 1985 when he returned to Missouri along with his son. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Elaine Buckner on Sept. 11, 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Elaine Swindell; four children: : Jennifer Anderson, Julia Lee McNulty, Jeanne Morgan and James Robert Swindell; and two step-children, Kandy McElfresh and Angie Wade; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Norma Tolbert, Marilynn Eakers, Carolynn Wulff, Linda Musgraves and Vicky Gray.

He was preceded in death by Joseph and Tina Swindell and Willena Huddleston.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at the Boone Creek Baptist Church with Dr. James Miller officiating.

Interment followed in Craddock Cemetery will military honors. All arrangements were under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
