Mr. Davis was a former machine operator for Lincoln Engineering in St. Louis and a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1957 until 1964.
On Sept. 14, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sue Davenport in Dexter,. Mrs. Davis survives of the home in Alma, Ill.
Besides his wife Sue Davis, other survivors include one son, Howard Wray Davis, Jr. of Woodlawn, Ill.; one daughter, Karen Jean Hicks of Ramsey, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; also one sister, Joyce McQuary of Dexter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Toby Sue Kutz; and one brother, Donald Davis.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday, July 27, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Pastor Dave Trover officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
