Betty Blankenship, daughter of Archie Berry and Lottie Doublin, was born May 30, 1932, at Leora and died July 23, 2007, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

On May 22, 1950,, she was united in marriage to Jack Blankenship in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2006.

She was retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory at Cape Girardeau. She was a graduate of Puxico High School in 1950 and was of the General Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, Harold Blankenship of Advance; and one daughter, Judy Galavis of Maysville, Okla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Ray Placher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery at Advance.
