Hazel Ruth Riddell, 75, of Malden was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Corning, Ark., and died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at her residence in Malden.

She was the daughter of the late Guy Corbin and Flossie Jones Corbin.

On June 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to A.J. Riddell in Piggott, Ark., and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1999.

She was a member of the Voice of Zion Church in Malden.

Survivors include six sons, Leonard Riddell and Wesley Riddell of Malden, Jimmy Riddell of Parma, Charles Riddell and Steven Riddell of Malden, and Cecil Whitaker of Dexter; two daughters, Diane Metcalf of Bloomfield and Ruthie Hicks of Rector, Ark.; one sister, Helen Tripplett of Indianapolis, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Riddell; four brothers, Shirley Corbin, Ralph Corbin, Earl Corbin and Harold Corbin; and two sisters, Velma Johnson and Dorothy Jenkins.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Roger Fowler officiating.

Interment will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell.
