Donald Taylor, 71, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Reyno, Ark., the son of Lillie Ruth King Taylor of Sikeston and the late Dempse Taylor.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the General Baptist faith. He had worked for Chambers Electric before retiring.
He was married to Norma (Gordon) Taylor, and she survives of the home in Sikeston.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Sue Harkness of Des Arc and Karen Usmani of Houston, Texas; one step-son, Kenneth Wayne Thomason of Avert; one step-daughter, Tonya Renee Bailey of Dexter; five sisters, Ruthine Counts Modglin and Betty Taylor of Sikeston, Lequita Morris of Norman, Ark., Charlotte Taylor Drury of Cape Girardeau, and Bunny Taylor Keesee of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Glen Taylor of St. Louis and Billy Taylor of Gulfport, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death.
Visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
