Lloyd E. DeJournett, son of the late Marshall Seymore and Mary Mae Annis DeJournett, was born near Grayridge on May 15, 1935, and died at his home in Dexter on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at the age of 72.

Mr. DeJournett had lived in the Essex and Dexter area all his life. He had worked as a farmer.

Surviving are two brothers, Marvin DeJournett of Dexter and Wiley DeJournett of Essex; and one sister, Kathleen Givens of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by two children, Marshall Earnest DeJournett and Marsha D. DeJournett; and four brothers, Milo, Woodrow, Clemmer and Cleo DeJournett.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery in Idalia with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
