Lacy Dale May, 66, died at his home in Sikeston on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007.
He was born Dec. 7, 1940, in Gideon, son of the late David Allen and Flo Phena (Bateman) May; he was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God. He was a diesel mechanic for Hedrick Concrete and Clayton Farm Services before retiring.
On Feb. 23, 1960, he married Helen (Hartle) May; she survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Lisa Phillips of Dexter, Gina Crutchfield of Hillsboro, and Leslie Bryant of Sikeston; two brothers, Jerry May of Blytheville, Ark., and Gary May of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Shirley Abernathy of Manhattan, Kan., and Nancy Coleman of Moro, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Aug. 10, 2007. Rev. Jerry Chaney, pastor of Parma Church of God, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Mount Gilead Cemetery in Malden.
