Edith Lilly Midgett, 85, daughter of the late Willie Wallace and Bessie Williams Wallace, was born Feb. 25, 1922, at Oil Trough, Ark., and died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at her residence in Dexter. She was formerly of Risco.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Risco.

On Oct. 16, 1943, she was united in marriage to Charles Aubry Midgett in New Madrid, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1977.

Survivors include four daughters, Zerlene Stafford and Darlene Rowland, both of Dexter, Linda Walker of Bloomfield and Shelia Haertling of Jackson; two sons, Jimmie Midgett of Dexter and Terry Midgett of Risco; five sisters, Nadine Orr of Columbia City, Ind., Loudean Starnes of Dexter, Beatrice Segers of Jackson, Mich., Wanda Calvert of Fagus, and Manda Kellick of Dexter; one brother, Harold Glen Wallace of Parma; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Ronnie Midgett, Doyle Wayne Midgett and Rickie Gene Midgett; one daughter, Carol Faye Midgett; three brothers, Thurman Wallace, Lloyd Wallace and Bill Wallace.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Lonnie Mittag officiating.

Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
