State Representative of the 159th District, Billy Pat Wright, recently presented Mrs. and Mrs. Ernest Earl Young with a resolution for having celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. The resolution, which will be permanently documented in the House, recognizes the couple for their steadfast relationship that spans over half a century together. Ernest Earl Young married Neva Jane Causibie on June 28th of 1942 in Dexter, and the couple has lived in the community ever since. The Youngs operated a dry-cleaning business and a real estate business that later was owned by one of their sons. The Youngs have four sons, two of whom reside in the are, Earl and Gary Young. Chris and Michael both reside in Louisiana. They attend the First Church of the Nazarene, where they have been members since 1945. The Young family celebrated the auspicious occasion in late June at home.
