Kenneth Forkum, Sr., son of Pansy Gregory Ezell of Malden and the late Dayton Forkum, was born on Aug. 19, 1953 ,in Stoddard County and died at his residence in Dexter on Aug. 24, 2007, at the age of 54.
Kenneth was self-employed, a farmer for 30 years, and a member of the Bernie Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.
On Feb. 12, 1971, he was united in marriage to Karen Pyle in Idalia. Mrs. Forkum survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife and mother, other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Forkum, Jr. and Nicole of Bloomfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Forkum Moore and Doug of Dexter; two brothers, Larry Forkum of Malden and Jimmy Forkum of Forest City, Ark.; also three grandsons, Riley and Jackson Moore of Dexter and Kasen Forkum of Bloomfield; one granddaughter, Alexis Forkum of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his father Dayton Forkum.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Stan Dauck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
