Susanna Melissa Ezzell, daughter of the late Jonathan Randolph and Louisa Jane Sifford Ezzell, was born at Bloomfield on Jan. 4, 1908, and died at the Golden Living Care Center in Bloomfield on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at the age of 99.

Mrs. Ezzell was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, a 50-year member and past matron of Bloomfield Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #385, and taught school in the Bloomfield school system for more than 40 years. On June 9, 1954, she was married to Clay Ezzell, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1973.

Survivors include one sister, Elois Ruth Kirby of Sun City Center, Fla.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
