Mrs. Taylor had lived in Michigan for many years before moving to Oak Ridge, Tenn., in 1981. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, Tenn., and she enjoyed canning, quilting, crocheting, fellowship times with her friends at the Clinton Towers and most of all spending time with her family.
On Aug. 28, 1939, she was married to Chester L. Taylor, Sr. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1981. Surviving are two sons, Larry Taylor of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Chester Taylor of Royal Oak, Mich.; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris A. Patch; one sister, Iva Haynes; and one brother, Remmel Moore.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, at 8 p.m. at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, Tenn., with the Rev. Kenny Bean officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, after 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
