Clola Opal Duffey, daughter of the late Ralph and Donna Hawkins Townsend, was born near Brownwood on March 21, 1909, and died at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at the age of 98.

Mrs. Duffey had lived in the Bloomfield area most of her life. She moved to St. Louis five years ago. She was a member of the General Baptist Church.

On Dec. 25, 1925, she was married to Roy Lee Duffey. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1983.

Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Snider of St. Louis; one sister, Nadean French of Buchanan, Mich.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Josh Carpenter of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
