Lelon Andrew Moore

Lelon Andrew Moore, son of the late Siles Monroe and Virdie Osborn Moore, was born in Leachville, Ark., on Nov. 20, 1920, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at the age of 86.

Mr. Moore had lived in Aid for many years before living in St. Louis and Farmington. He had worked as a house parent at the Presbyterian Children's Home in Farmington. He returned to Dexter three years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

On July 31, 1943, he was married to Georgia Nash. She preceded him in death in 1982.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne Moore of Dexter and Harold Moore of Pacifica, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, David and Vernon Moore; and one sister, Alene Short.

Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow at a later date in Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
