Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Mary Nell Riley and the late Edgar Shirley of Murray, Ky., Mr. Chester Medler and the late Mary Ellen Medler of Dexter; and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hughes of Dexter.
Senior Pastor Geoff Posegate and Dr. Jim Davis performed the ceremony.
Judy Nickell of Sikeston was the organist.
The matron of honor was Rita Henson of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Dr. Kristin Ancell of Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Amy Beck of San Antonio, Texas, and Meghan Bogard of St. Louis. The flower girl was Victoria Collom, niece of the bride and daughter of Ellen and Glenn Collom.
Timothy Clegg of Tulsa, Okla., served as best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Atherton and Jason Fraysher, both of St. Louis. Grant Matthews of Sikeston, brother of the bride, served as usher.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by Mick and Donna Hughes and Mark and Sherry Snider, was held at 3 p.m. on April 13, 2007, at Jeremiah's Restaurant in Sikeston.
A shower for the bride was held in Cape Girardeau hosted by Rita Henson and Mrs. Lamia Tellow, Dr. Kristin Ancell, Mrs. Gale Ancell, Amy Smith and Mrs. Carol Smith. Kathleen Bauer, Suzanne Leek, Marcia Coulter, Joan Dobkin and Ellen Lindsay hosted a shower for the bride in St. Louis.
A bridesmaids luncheon honoring the bride was hosted by Kathy Hux, Ann Hux and Tara Hux in Sikeston.
The bride received her B.A. in speech communication from Drury University in Springfield and an M.S. in communication sciences and disorders from Fontbonne University in St. Louis. She is currently employed as a speech language pathologist at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
The bridegroom attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla. He is currently employed by Manpower in Sikeston as a professional placement consultant.
After a wedding trip to Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
