Wanda E. Walker, daughter of the late Curt and Alta Willis Cobb, was born in Success, Ark., on June 10, 1923, and died at the St. Louis University Hospital on Sept. 13, 2007, at the age of 84.

Mrs. Walker had lived in the Essex, Grayridge communities and moved to Dexter in 1975. She was a member of the General Baptist Church.

On March 8, 1941, she was married to Eskew Walker in Charleston. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1974.

Surviving are one son, Leland E. Walker of Bloomfield; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Cobb of Blythe, Calif.; three sisters, Ruby Pulley of Columbus, Ohio, Norma Santo of St. Louis, and Brenda Allen of Blythe, Calif.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Cobb.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
