Bernard Elmer Shepard, Jr., was born Dec. 24, 1944, at San Rafael, Calif., and died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at his residence in Searcy, Ark., at the age of 62.

He was the son of the late Bernard Elmer Shepard, Sr., and Vivian Silva Shepard.

Survivors include two sons, David Shepard of Bernie and Dennis Gardner of Bald Knob, Ark. ; one brother, Dennis Shepard of Salem, Ore.; five grandchildren; nine step-children; 23 step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Bernie Cemetery with Pastor Bill Garrett officiating.

Interment folllowed at Bernie Cemetery.
