Mr. Triplett was a farmer and a resident of rural Dexter.
He was married to Evelyn Eaton Aug. 10, 1932, at Essex. Mrs. Triplett preceded him in death Aug. 27, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin Triplett and Jim Triplett, both of Dexter; two daughters, Jo Ann Freeman of St. Louis and Janet Viau of St. Charles; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Triplett; and two sisters, Ora Black and Cora Wilkerson.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral service will then be held at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
