Carl Eugene Jordan, son of the late Vernon Clifton and Francis Harlow Jordan, was born at Essex on Aug. 5, 1943, and died at the John J. Pershing V.a. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the age of 64.
Mr. Jordan had spent his working life in St. Louis but had been a resident of Essex the past five years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during Vietnam. He was married to Sandra Jo McCullar, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 24, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Tilley of Essex and Doranda Jordan of Festus; one brother, Steve Jordan of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Rosalee Wilson of Essex; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Jordan.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Interment will follow at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
