Maudie Mae Burns, daughter of the late Roy Ottie and Myrtle Era Glenn Hoosier, was born in Clines Island on Dec. 27, 1915, and died at her home in Bloomfield on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Burns had lived in the Bloomfield area all her life. She had retired as a seamstress with Elder Manufacturing.

On May 14, 1932, she was married to Howard Leonard Burns in Clines Island. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1986.

Surviving are one daughter, Pansy Lanzendorf of Grand Island, Neb.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Viola McQueen.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at the Bloomfield Cemetery with Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
