Dean Heaton

Dean Heaton, 65, of Bertrand died on Oct. 10, 2007, at his residence. He was born Sept. 13, 1942, in Sikeston to the late O.R. and Gussie L. Ogelvie Heaton. He was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Pullen Trucking and a member of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie. He married Carol Sue Clark on July 5, 1969, in Mexico, and she survives of the home in Bertrand.

Other survivors include three sons Darrell Heaton of Piedmont, Kelly Heaton and Dewayne Heaton, both of Sikeston; one daughter, Lori roach of Charleston; one brother, Eddie Heaton of Salem, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandsons; two brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger Jespersen of the United Methodist Church of Charleston officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
