Ira W. Stroud, son of the late Sherman and Hattie Yates Stroud, was born at Grayridge on Feb. 22, 1923, and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at the age of 84.

Mr. Stroud had spent all his life in the Bloomfield community. He is survived by one brother, Fred Stroud of Bloomfield.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Sue Welborn officiating.

Interment followed in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
