Karen Sue Jackson, daughter of the late Tom Petty and Ruby Avery Petty, was born on Aug. 23, 1948, at Kennett and died at her residence in Bernie on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at the age of 59.

Mrs. Jackson had worked during her life as a LPN, was a homemaker and attended the Assembly of God Church of Bernie.

She was united in marriage to Gary E. Jackson on April 26, 1975, at Kennett. Mr. Jackson survives at their home in Bernie.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda K. Tilmon of Bernie and Gina L. Hamby of Wappapello; one sister, Vicki Willett of Kennett; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Lemons officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
