Barbara Bonds

Barbara Knight Bonds, the daughter of Leonard Williams and the late Lillie Allen Williams, was born in Parma on Aug. 14, 1944, and died at her home in Parma on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at the age of 63.

She had lived in the Parma area the past 38 years. She had been a business owner and had worked as bookkeeper with Ron Owens Construction. She had been active in the Area Pool Leagues and was of the Baptist faith.

She was first married to Larry Knight, and he preceded her in death. On April 16, 1991, she was married to William "Buck" Bonds in Gideon, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1998.

Surviving are one daughter, Sonja Brannon of Parma; one son, Gregg Knight of Dexter; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Ray Hutchison of Warrenton and Marvin Williams of Tallahassee, Fla.; and one sister, Patsey Dailey of Batesville, Ark.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Virgie Everett.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with the Rev. Bobby Dailey of Batesville, Ark., officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
