Darrell Penberthy was born Nov. 18, 1971, to Michael and Joyce Penberthy. Darrell is a 1991 graduate of the West County High School in Leadwood. While in high school, Darrell received training as a nurse's aid, first responder, and attended the Mineral Area College and received his E.M.T. license. After high school, Darrell attended the Mid-America College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1993.

Darrell has a very beautiful daughter born in 1999. Her name is Caroline Joy Penberthy, and she is very much loved by all who know her.

Darrell has one sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jessie Barton and two very special nieces, Mickayla and Abbi Barton.

In November 2007 Darrell will have served as a volunteer firefighter for 20 years for several departments. Darrell is currently employed by the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter as a funeral director and embalmer. He has been with the Watkins Funeral Home for the last seven years.

Jessica was born Oct. 24, 1985, to Randy and Marty Starnes. Jessica is a 2004 graduate of Dexter High School. After graduating, Jessica went to work for Jackson's Florist in Dexter. She has completed several semesters at Three Rivers Community College and has received her E.M.T. license. She is currently working for the New Madrid County Ambulance District. Jessica enjoys a very unique family as her great-grandmother, Evelyn "Granny" Crowell, her grandmother, Patty Tilley, and her mother are all living to see this special occasion. Jessica also has a very special stepmother and best friend Michelle Starnes.

Jessica was very blessed to have had two very special aunts in her life, Mary and Sherry Tilley. Mary and Sherry passed away just four months apart. Jessica was very helpful in their care, giving up summers to stay with them.

Jessica has one brother, Randy Starnes, Jr.

Jessica is hoping to attend nursing school after getting some experience in the health field as an E.M.T.

The wedding was held Nov. 4, 2007, at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
