Evelyn Hutchcraft

Evelyn Hutchcraft, daughter of the late Fred Saltzman and Florence Wilkerson Saltzman, was born on Aug. 15, 1909 near Essex and departed this life in the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center on Nov. 19, 2007 at the age of 98.

Mrs. Hutchcraft, a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, was a retired school teacher and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Hutchcraft on July 5, 1938 at Bloomfield. Mr. Hutchcraft preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1991.

She is survived by one son, Bill Hutchcraft and wife Paula of Dexter; by three grand-daughters, Lauren Hutchcraft, Brooke Hutchcraft and Erika Hutchcraft; by two sisters, Edna Swinger of Dexter and Elnora Lawson of Flint, Mich..

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Saltzman.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lester Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Stoddard County Children's Home.
