Mrs. Coffey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, a 50 year Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, She was the former co-owner and bookkeeper of the Midwest Auto Storem Coffey Brothers Oil Distributorship, Coffey's Jack Spratt Store and Coffey's Restaurant, all in Parma with her husband Russel.
She was married to Russel William Coffey on Jan. 27, 1934 at Kennett. Mr. Coffey preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1992.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Coffey of Sikeston and Jerry Coffey of St. Charles; by two brothers, Marion Brown of Dexter and Bob Brown of Advance; by one sister, Willene Swinger of Poplar Bluff; by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Steven Coffey and Allison Coffey; by on great-grandson, Keith Van Meter; by one brother Lloyd Brown; by three sisters, Myrtle Millington, Clara Baker and Mildred Tippen.
Friends may call at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007. Funeral Services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Kevin Chenoweth officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
