Mary Louise Hester Shaver, daughter of the late Bonnie Hester and Ollie Young Hester, was born at Advance on Aug. 23, 1933, and died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, at the age of 74.

She was united in marriage to Paul William Shaver at Piggott, Ark., on April 2, 1949. Mr. Shaver preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2001.

She is survived by two nephews, Carl Hester and wife Glenda of Dexter and Paul Hester and wife Tammy of Branson; two great-nephews, Joshua Hester and wife Rebecca of Cuba, and Justin Hester of Advance; four great-nieces, Angela Burke of Cuba, Laura Davis and husband Ryan, Ashley Hester, all of Dexter, and Whitney Christian of Poplar Bluff; and four great-great-nieces, Emily Hester, Kendall Davis of Dexter, Kailey Burke, Rebekha Burke of Cuba; two great-great-nephews, Jayden Burke and Xander Burke of Cuba.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald C. Hester and Vernon Dean Hester.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007.

Funeral services began at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Eileen Moore officiated.

Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
