Mrs. Orr was a "Rosie, the Riveter" during World War II, working on ships, had worked at A.L. Hester Meat Packing Company formerly of Bernie for 23 years and a homemaker. She was a member of the Bernie Nazarene Church since 1961.
Survivors include two sons, Everett L. Orr, Jr. of Bernie and Franklin D. Orr of Lumberton, Texas; two daughters, Melba Joyce Norton of Hilton, N.Y., and Norma Jean Lowery of Bernie; two sisters, Jo Alice Orr of Marble Hill and Ruby Welch of Huntington, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and by three sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Humbert and Rev. Don Wells officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
