Drs. Terry L. and Jerri A. Lawson of Tulsa, Okla., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Kay Lawson, to David Chism Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Howard of Dexter.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Jenks High School, Jenks, Okla., and a 2004 graduate of the University of Tulsa. She is currently attending the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry and will graduate in 2008 with a doctorate of optometry.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Dexter High School and attended Harding University and Arkansas State University. He is currently a partner in Howard Custom Spraying.

The couple will exchange vows on Dec. 29, 2007, in Tulsa, Okla. They plan to make their home in Dexter.
