Mildred Scroggins, daughter of the late Johnny and Charity Prince Stobaugh, was born in Morrillton, Ark., on May 23, 1918, and died at the Cypress Point Healthcare facility in Dexter on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the age of 89.
Mrs. Scroggins had lived in Center Ridge, Ark., before moving to Dexter in 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
On Oct. 31, 1932, she was married to Clyde Scroggins in Center Ridge, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1990.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary M. Corder of Dexter and Anna Ruth Dial of Granite City, Ill.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Doyle Stobaugh of Conway, Ark.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Sue Scroggins; and one brother, Ardith Stobaugh.
Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dale Grissom of Dexter officiating.
Interment followed at 1:30 p.m. in the Center Ridge Cemetery in Center Ridge, Ark., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
