Mr. Wethington had served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of the Missouri 8 Ball Pool League.
On Oct. 23, 1972, he was married to Phyllis Arnold.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Wethington of Woodson Terrace; two daughters, Susan Gether and her husband John of Overland and Yvonne Dee Bond and husband Bill of Woodson Terrace; one son, Jim Wethington of Woodson Terrace; two brothers, Virgil Lawrence Wethington and his wife Elsie of Poplar Bluff and Bill Wethington and his wife Mamie of High Ridge; three sisters, Charlene Klien and her husband Harvey of Bay, Anna Bohrisch and her husband Doug of Thayer, and Judy Florida and husband Jack of Windsor; four grandchildren, Terra, Jessica, Elise and Owen; and one great-grandson, Ethan.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Carmeleen Colberg.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
