Alberta Alene Trout, daughter of the late Andrew Jasper and Opal Fowler Stewart, was born near Bell City on March 26, 1933, and died at the St. Joseph's West Medical Center in Lake St. Louis on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at the age of 74.
Mrs. Trout had lived most of her life in Puxico and Bloomfield. She had made her home in O'Fallon the past seven years. She had worked as a C.N.A. at the Beverly Health & Rehab Center in Bloomfield and had done private care.
On Feb. 23, 1951, she was married to Beril Trout in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Trout of Puxico and Dwayne Trout of O'Fallon; one daughter, Barbara Willcut of Puxico; three grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Stewart of Sikeston and Melvin Stewart of St. Louis; five sisters, Margaret Barnes of Jefferson City, Patricia Gallamore of Beloit, Wis., Carolyn Casey of Dexter, Connie Grady of Benton, and Effie Hughes of Morehouse.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with Bro. William Webster of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
