Mrs. Julius had lived in Puxico and Grandin before moving to Dexter 26 years ago. She was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter.
She was first married to Earl Riley on Sept. 17, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1951. On May 6,1958, she was married to Samuel David Julius in Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are four daughters, Velma Julius of Florissant, Norma Compson and Betty Smith, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thelma Christian of Dexter; one step-daughter, Doris Caldwell of Caseyville, Ill.; three step-sons, David Julius of Caseyville, Ill., Orville Julius of Granite City, Ill., and Archie Julius of Florissant; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and many, many, great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Verlie Hardin of Arnold.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. James Hamlett of Risco officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
