Louise Evans

Louise Evans, daughter of the late William Joseph Smith and Edith May Small Smith, was born Feb. 22, 1920, at Dexter and died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at Gideon Care Center.

She was married to Howard Evans on May 14, 1938, at Campbell, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1979.

She was a member of Kimball Baptist Church in Malden and a former long-time employee of Just Rite Cleaners.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Jackson of Malden and Judy Telker of Leoma, Tenn.; one son, Terry Evans of Bloomfield; one sister, Jeanette West of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Sue Sharley; one brother, Dennis Smith; and one sister, Melba Kildow.

Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Jim Cornman officiating.

Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
