Edna M. Long, daughter of the late James Ernest and Veda Martin Robinson, was born at Bloomfield on June 8, 1917, and died at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield on Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at the age of 90.

Mrs. Long had spent all her life in the Bloomfield community and was a long-time member of St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia. On June 8, 1935, she was married to Theron Long.

Survivors include her husband, Theron Long of Bloomfield; six sons, Theron C. Long, Jr. of Wentzville, Robert Lee Long of Granite City, Ill., Daniel Mike Long, William Ernest Long, Robin Craig Long, and Darrol Kent Long, all of Bloomfield; three daughters, Shannon J. Heilman of Bloomfield, Sandra Jean Mowry of Cherryville, and Patricia Ann Charest of St. Louis; one brother, James E. Robinson of Dexter; one sister, Joyce Wamble of Dexter; 32 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Albert Long; two daughters, Shirley Jolene Angel and Linda Joyce Courtemanche; and two sisters, Vergie Robinson and Edith Corbin.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Dan Sitze officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
