Billie Bell, daughter of the late Earl Theophilus Gregory and Mabel Marie Pack Gregory, was born on Oct. 12, 1928, at Morehouse and died in her residence near Bloomfield on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the age of 79.

Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a resident of rural Bloomfield.

She was united in marriage to Ervin Bell, Jr. on Jan. 15, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Bell preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1998.

She is survived by three sons, Danny Ervin Bell of Bridegton, Thomas Lee Bell of Dexter and Michael Earl Bell of Bloomfield; four sisters, Deannie Bollinger, Lou Nell Curtner, Alma Vivian Creed and Bessie Ruth Fields, all of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen Earl Gregory, James Lee Gregory and Thomas Wayne Gregory.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
