Mearl R. Frame, son of the late John Carrol and Sarah Jane Oliver Frame, was born in Illinois on Jan. 26, 1916, and died at the Mark Twin Caring Center in Poplar Bluff on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the age of 91.

Mr. Frame had lived in California and Kentucky before moving to Dexter in 1987. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of the Air Force. He dearly loved his family and loved traveling, hunting and fishing.

On July 26, 1942, he was married to Mildred Julian in Sikeston. She preceded him in death on Nov. 28, 1987.

Surviving are one son, John R. Frame of Trinidad, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary McDaniel of Keego Harbor, Mich., Nora Frame of Pontiac, Mich., Florence Schatz of Millersburg, Mich., Ruth Nations of Poplar Bluff, and Betty Townley of Sanbury, Ohio; three brothers, John Frame of Radcliff, Ky., Bill Frame of Flint, Mich., and Joe Frame of Tacoma, Wash.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mable Warner, Iolene Musgrave, Flora Wiegand, Deloris Nations; and two brothers, Calvin and Charles Frame.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will be at 1 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
