Lila Louise Werden, the daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma Louise VanDusin Robbins, was born in Potoskey, Mich., on Feb. 14, 1935, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at the age of 72.

Mrs. Werden had lived in Michigan before moving to Dexter in 1985. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church and had worked in the Laundry for Nursing Homes and Hospitals. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #4062 in Dexter. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics and crafts, collected music, volunteered to work with handicapped children and enjoyed her dog, Bobo.

Surviving are one son, Thomas Werden, Jr. of Dixon, Tenn.; three daughters, Diane Elizabeth Merritt of Dexter, Donna Louise Stanton of Battlecreek, Mich., Darene Marie Simpson of Charleviox, Mich.; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Robbins of Inverness, Fla.; and one sister, Lela Betway of Marquette, Mich.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Danny Collins of Qulin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
