Pansy Forkum

Pansy M. Forkum, daughter of the late Enoch T. Pedigo and Harriett K. Lena Shaw Pedigo, was born on Oct. 22, 1930, in Aurora and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at the age of 77.

Mrs. Forkum was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Bloomfield, a former school bus driver for Dexter Public Schools, a farmer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and a former resident of Zalma.

On Sept. 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to William T. Forkum in Dudley. Mr. Forkum preceded her in death on March 26, 1999.

Survivors include one son, William Thomas Forkum, Jr., of Grassy; three grandchildren, Jay Forkum of Bloomfield, Shannon Billingsley of Dexter, and Janet Clifton of Grassy; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nova Jean Jones, Irene Whitaker, and Georgia Bell.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 -11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter wit Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating.

Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
