Bob Van Kleek, son of the late Eston Romaine Van Kleek and Elizabeth Mobbs Van Kleek, was born on March 25, 1946, in Pontiac, Mich., and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Jan. 14, 2008, at the age of 61.

Bob was a self-employed carpenter and a resident of Dexter.

On Sept. 22, 1969, he was united in marriage to Diana Mowery in Waterford, Mich. Mrs. Van Kleek survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Hood of Bloomfield; four brothers, Chuck Van Kleek, John Van Kleek, and Gerald Van Kleek, all of Michigan, and Roger Van Kleek of St. Louis; one sister, Dorothy Nettleton of Holly, Mich.; also four grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Deprow; one grandson; one half-brother, Edmond Jones; and one half-sister, Hazel.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from Noon until 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Hartle officiating.

Interment will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
